My work as a photographer covers a lot of ground. I move between commercial jobs, editorial assignments and heritage projects, always looking for the real story at the heart of each one. Over the years I have photographed a product launch on a long walk across the Peak District with Patagonia, captured the deep clean of Chatsworth House for the Daily Mail, and followed the journey of sustainable timber from woodland to woodmill for BBC Countryfile Magazine. I have documented steam locomotives, outdoor festivals, remote youth hostels and small independent food shops, treating each subject with the same quiet attention. Beyond the work you see here, I have also been a behind-the-scenes photographer on the BBC’s Antiques Roadshow, where one of my images was chosen as an iPlayer thumbnail (I love that). Whether I am working with a national park authority to promote public transport, photographing a chapel on a pilgrimage route, or capturing the buzz of an artisan market, my aim stays the same. I look for the honest moments, the small details and the sense of place that bring a story to life.
